Sarah Gimbel, PhD, MPH, RN, FAAN is a Professor in the Department of Child, Family, and Population Health Nursing, adjunct Professor in the Department of Global Health, and also directs the Center for Global Health Nursing, all at the University of Washington. She is an established implementation researcher with extensive experience leading complex, multi-country implementation research studies, including in Mozambique, Kenya, Peru and the United States. Her research expertise includes the development and testing of systems engineering interventions to strengthen health systems and improve the reach, quality, equity and continuity of health services. Her current studies primarily target HIV/AIDS, non-communicable diseases, primary health care, and MOUD.
